This course will explain how to correctly locate, interpret, and apply the concepts and requirements of NFPA 30 in workplace situations.

This course is designed to provide the learner with a solid understanding of the scope and purpose of NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, and the ability to apply its requirements and provide fundamental safeguards for the storage and use of ignitible (flammable or combustible) liquids.

Course Objectives include

• Navigate NFPA 30 to locate specific ignitable (flammable or combustible) liquid requirements
• Assign the proper NFPA classification to example liquids
• Identify and apply NFPA 30 requirements as they relate to fire and explosion prevention, risk control, containers and liquid dispensing, processing and dispensing, aboveground storage tanks, underground storage tanks and piping, and bulk loading and unloading at facilities/wharves
