  • Perform a hazards analysis, risk assessment, and business impact analysis.
  • Perform a resource needs analysis.
  • Describe the planning process and common plan elements.
  • Outline a communications plan for a given hazard.
  • Describe incident management systems.
  • Explain components of an emergency response/operations plan.
  • Explain components of continuity and recovery plans.
  • Determine when plan execution is required.
  • Establish a training and exercise program.
  • Identify the means for evaluation of essential program elements.
